Spot XRP ETFs attracted roughly $740k of net inflows despite the token dropping about 6% in 24 hours. In contrast, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperliquid funds collectively shed close to $400 million on October 14 as inflation concerns pressured the market.

After the US CPI data came in higher than expected on October 14, crypto prices fell. Elevated inflation can reduce hopes for monetary easing, stressing risk assets, which explains why strong XRP ETF demand didn’t lift the token’s price that day.

XRP ETFs have now logged 13 straight weeks of net inflows, with the most recent outflow week ending July 10 at about $7.2 million. Total net inflows hit a record $1.80 billion, showing demand for the funds has stayed strong even as the token’s price struggled.

Inflow momentum has slowed from its late‑September high. The week ending Sept 25 saw $75.6 million of inflows, then $4.7 million and $11.3 million in the following two weeks.

The disparity between cash flows and fund size matters. Even though new money kept entering, XRP ETF net assets dropped from $1.77 billion on Sept 25 to $1.51 billion as the token’s price fell, because lower asset values can erase the effect of inflows.

Large XRP Deposits, Supply Dynamics, and Path to Recovery

XRP is still roughly 64% under its record high of $3.65 set on July 17 2025. Over the past 30 days, whale‑sized deposits into Binance hit 1.669 billion XRP – a seven‑month peak – versus about 1.65 billion XRP in September.

More tokens flowing onto exchanges could raise the sellable supply, creating a potential overhang even as ETF buyers keep adding positions. However, deposits don’t prove selling – they may just be wallet moves or use of other Binance services – and the metric alone doesn’t confirm that holders are off‑loading.

The situation creates a mixed picture rather than a clear reversal sign. If the market keeps reacting bearishly to inflation data, XRP could stay under pressure even with ETF money coming in. As long as the inflow streak holds and whale deposits don’t turn into confirmed sales, the demand‑vs‑supply gap stays unresolved.

The next key question is whether the broader market will stabilize after the October 14 CPI reaction. Until then, ongoing fund demand has not yet proven it can offset macro‑driven selling in the spot market.
