Ripple News Brad Garlinghouse Slams $11 Billion Gold Transfer

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse turned an obscure central-bank logistics story into a sweeping defense of crypto settlement rails. The timing appears deliberate, as a technical setup develops beneath the market noise.
Garlinghouse used X to condemn the Central Bank of the Netherlands after CNBC reported that it took six months to transport 86 metric tons of gold, valued at $11 billion, from vaults in the United States and Canada to London. He also referenced Germany’s four-year gold-repatriation effort beginning in 2013, pointing out that a decade has passed since then and that settlement infrastructure remains largely unchanged from the 1940s.
Over that same period, the crypto market capitalization expanded from $1.5 billion to $2.7 trillion. Meanwhile, XRP spent the past week holding the $1.32–$1.40 support band while testing resistance above. Garlinghouse’s timing has placed renewed emphasis on settlement speed just as XRP’s technical structure strengthens.
Can XRP Reach $2 This Week Amid the Ripple News?
At $1.42, XRP remains above near-term support in the $1.32–$1.38 range, which has survived several retests during the past sessions. Immediate resistance lies between $1.43 and $1.45, while the more significant barrier occupies the $1.68–$1.72 area. Analysts say a volume-backed break above that range is needed before targets of $1.90–$2.00 become realistic rather than speculative.
The bullish scenario requires XRP to clear $1.45, turn former resistance into support, and build momentum toward $1.68–$1.72. A decisive close above that band could then open the way to $2.00 and possibly $2.10 or higher. The base case is continued trading between $1.35 and $1.45 while investors absorb Federal Reserve policy signals and await a volume catalyst.
On the bearish side, losing $1.32 support could send XRP back toward $1.25–$1.27 and undermine the near-term breakout thesis. Institutional positioning and regulatory clarity remain key variables to watch heading into next week.

Bitcoin Hyper Eyes Early-Mover Gains as XRP Tests Key Levels
With XRP holders enjoying gains from the monthly rally, a natural question is how much upside remains when the combined crypto market cap has reached $2.7 trillion and XRP carries a multibillion-dollar valuation. At that stage, the next leg up may require a genuinely fresh catalyst.
The gold-transfer controversy is a powerful narrative, but not a new use case, and Ripple’s payment thesis has already been reflected in the market for years. This is where earlier-stage infrastructure projects are attracting attention.
Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) presents itself as the first Bitcoin Layer 2 with complete SVM integration. It aims to provide execution speeds exceeding Solana’s while anchoring security to Bitcoin’s base layer.
The project has secured $33 million in presale funding, with tokens currently priced at $0.0136859 and staking rewards advertised at a high APY. Its core offerings include a decentralized canonical bridge for BTC transfers and low-latency smart-contract execution, potentially giving Bitcoin the programmability it has lacked for 15 years.
Research Bitcoin Hyper directly before the presale window closes.
