Crypto Exchange OKX Upgrades McLaren Branding to Widen Reach

Digital asset exchange, OKX has increased its level of partnership with McLaren’s Formula 1 team citing more adoption and visibility. 

In a recent post on its website, the company announced the updated agreement of its partnership with McLaren F1 2024 branding with the desire to gain more mainstream adoption. 

Improving brand awareness

The new update will see the exchange’s brand on the car’s side pod position. This spot offers more visibility to sponsors. 

As the only crypto company to co-design F1 liveries with a team, we are excited to confirm our branding update this year taking the official sidepod position on this year’s car.” 

According to the post, the platform’s community pushed for the upgrade as the initial partnership attracted many benefits to the exchange.

The official OKX logo will now be visible on the side pods, mirror driver’s helmet, and rear wing. Particularly, it will feature on the side pods for 20 F1 races in the 2024 season. 

OKX explained that the latest branding was borne out of the Stealth Mode, jointly designed by OKX and McLaren. The designs were released in September 2023.

The exchange described the partnership as a significant step in bringing web3 and blockchain technology to the world of Motorsport. Importantly,  this joint venture allows users to see the link between innovation and speed. 

Haider Rafique, the Chief Marketing Officer at OKX wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on what the community is to expect from the partnership. 

The new arrangement will see a new co-livery design unveiled in Singapore, new brand activations to mark McLaren’s legacy, and deploying its technology to improve the global fan experience and the team’s competitiveness. 

OKX seeks more partnerships

Rafique expressed optimism on the potential of the partnership amid the competitive centralized cryptocurrency exchange market adding that it will be a spectacular year for all participants. 

We are thrilled to be part of the new McLaren F1 Team campaign ‘Whatever it Takes.’ We love the spirit that McLaren is taking into the 2024 season and we are excited to see that elements from our co-designed livery from Singapore have been integrated in this year’s design.

The exchange also partners with English football outfit, Manchester City which has seen the brand on the sleeves of the club’s official sports kits.
